Brook Cottage

A beautiful holiday home in Askrigg, Yorkshire Dales

Brook Cottage

Askrigg is a charming village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The village is ideally placed for walking and has 3 pubs, an excellent cafe, a craft shop, a newsagents/village store and also a small brewery.

Askrigg is famous for featuring as Darrowby in the original series of All Creatures Great and Small. Cringley House was the vet's surgery and the Kings Arms pub was used as the fictional Drover's Arms.

Askrigg is in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is an excellent base for walking, cycling, horse riding and scenic drives. The Yorkshire Three Peaks (Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent) are all within a 45 minute drive. The stunning scenery of Malham and the atmospheric Fountains Abbey (National Trust) are both around an hour away.

Fancy something different? Spend an afternoon walking Mr Darcy (or his pals) with Jackie, experienced alpaca handler at Alpaca Ambles , a really memorable experience!
